What is a SPONT?

SPONT stands for Spontaneous.
Spontaneous basically means unplanned.

So the whole SPONT game goes like this.
You make a thread.
In the title, you label it [SPONT].
(This step is vitally important. If you do not label your thread clearly, [SPONT], nobody will come to play with you!)

So, for example, I make a thread with my ghost character Sophie. I label it SPONT. So this is what the title looks like:

Sophie the Ghost Girl [SPONT]

And then I find myself an RP partner... and a SPONT god!

So I post. "Sophie the ghost girl was wandering around the Magic Caves."

And my RP buddy replies. "Moonoo the unicorn came into the Magic Caves. She said, "Oh, hi, Sophie! What's up?""

And then the SPONT god comes in! They post and say, "Moonoo poops on Sophie!!"

And then Moonoo's player HAS to RP Moonoo pooping on Sophie!

So basically it's a game where the SPONT god can make your characters do any crazy thing they want! It leads to a lot of fun, believe me. =)



GUIDELINES

1. There can be as many SPONT gods as you like! If you label the thread [OPENRP] then anyone can come in to RP; if you label the thread [OPENSPONT] then anyone can be your SPONT god!

2. Yes, your characters HAVE to do what the SPONT god says. However, if you'd like to pretend that thread never happened after it's over, you can, too!

3. SPONT gods can control everything: your character's actions, feelings, the weather, the setting. That's why they're Gods!

4. You can play SPONT in any one of the IC boards. A SPONT can happen anywhere!

5. The SPONT requests board, which is under Plot/RP Discussions, can be found HERE. (That's this board. xD)
