Story

I think about it every night I lie in my den. How did it all start? How did the spirit dogs come into existence? There have been many different versions of the story,but there is only one real one..and I know it. The true story is this.

A wild dog traveled a long way to a mysterious place. The dog did not know where he was,but he did know that there was something about it. Something that made it different from all the other lands that he visited. This was a place he could call home. He sniffed out an abandoned den,and settled down. He was soon woken by a noise outside. He stirred,then went to investigate. What he found was a lone she-dog. It looked like she was in dire need of rest,so the dog let her into his den.The pair stayed together for the rest of the days.They made a pack and had pups.The pack's name was Silverpack. They where one of the greatest packs in existence. Soon, they made an alliance with other packs called Waterpack,Skypack and Nightpack. Everything was perfect,until...the fire...


It happened on an ordinary day. The scouts where out patrolling, the mothers nursing their pups and the alphas resting in the sunshine. Suddenly, one of the scouts returned and said that he could smell smoke coming from the west. A fire.. the whole pack had to evacuate. Luckily, everyone was unharmed,but when the flames and smoke cleared up, they could all see the real damage to their once-lovely home. All the trees had been stripped of their bark and had a pile of black leaves beneath them. The grass was a sickly brown, and the dirt was as hard as concrete. The pack didn't know what to do. They had no choice but to remain where they were. They tried searching for survivors from the other packs, and found most of them.Now,your probably thinking that these dogs would never survive,right? WRONG! Very surprisingly,the dogs evolved to survive,all in different ways. Some developed the ability to read the minds of any living object,including their prey. Others discovered psychic powers and a few even grew wings!They also gained skills according to their pack. Waterpack had the ability to swim,breathe underwater and catch fish,Nightpack gained great stealth and some invisibility,Skypack could run to any location gracefully and swiftly in a matter of minutes and Silverpack could fight off many animals with only a few scars and wounds .Eventually,the four packs decided to move to a more realistic location for their families. They each found a place even better than their old homes(before it was burnt). What's even better is now that the dogs had taken on mystic powers and abilities,future generations would be born with these powers too! And so was created the Spirit Dogs..
